Finding your way around can seem like a daunting task, especially if you’ve never been to NYC before. But we’ve got your back! After reading this post, you will be a navigation master. Here’s what you need to know:
NYU is primarily located around Washington Square Park in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of lower Manhattan. There are loads of public transportation options to get you here from other parts of the city. Several subway lines have stations right by Washington Square Park and Union Square. Directions on how to get to NYU can also be found on the NYU visitor’s website.
Please note that there is no NYU transportation service to bring you to campus from local airports or bus/train terminals –you are responsible for getting yourself here once you arrive in the city. If you use a taxi to get to campus from an airport, make sure to get one from the official taxi stand! Do NOT accept a ride from an unauthorized taxi driver!
A map of key program locations is available here. Once you arrive on campus, you can find your way around campus with NYU’s interactive and downloadable campus map or by downloading the NYU Mobile App, which features a campus map among other useful features!
Additional information about getting to campus, navigating the city, and using public transportation can be found on the Getting Around Page.
